whattafuckin' win last night...my god. I never screamed @ a television more in my life. I went up to Haight St afterwards for a celebratory beer and there was SO much W's gear out, it was kinda funny. The bandwagon has apparently filled up, and people are spilling out all over the place...
Round 2 tix availability is gonna be announced on Sunday. It's gonna bankrupt me, but I gotta go.

anyways -- hope you've been watching the games, gang...outside of game 2, the W's are really coming together @ the right time and pounding the crap outta the Mavs. it's pretty unbelieveable, really.

So they did it last night...beating Portland (convincingly) on the road and locking up the 8th seed and returning to the playoffs for the first time since I was a college freshman...12 fucking seasons ago!
I'm ain't gonna lie - I cried a little bit last night after the game ended and they showed all the players in the locker room celebrating/hugging one another. I thought about how much I love the Bay Area and how much I love the game of basketball. 12 years is a long time to root for your underdog team to pull it out, and to finally emerge on the other side feels pretty damn good.
Anyways...here's a clip from the last playoff game the Warriors were in back in '94. They got swept in the first round by the Suns that year, and Charles Barkley went off for 56 in this, the third and final game. These playoffs are a different story altogether though. With the players we've got/the moves Mullin's made as GM, the losing culture is behind us -- and these kids are hungry.
Call it a hunch, but with the way they ended the season (winning 16 of 23 down the stretch/9-1 in their last 10) they're not goin' out like punks.
So here's a few shots from tonight's game. The seats were pretty fuckin' amazing, and unfortunately I didn't do a very good job as photographer as I sat there for most of the night in amazement. The vids came out pretty good I'd say. I think it's time for a camera upgrade tho.
Playoffs-wise, nothing was settled...as the Clippers won in Phoenix somehow, leaving them hot on our asses @ 1 game back. It all comes down to a roadie in Portland tomorrow night...if we win, we're in.
I think we'll pull it out. This team definately has the look.
So I bit the bullet and dropped a nice hunk of change for a courtside ticket for tomorrow night's Warriors game vs Dallas. I've never sat anywhere near that close before, so I am pretty fuggin' stoked.
I may be on TV, but fuck if I care...any combination of W's wins/Clippers losses (@ PHO tomorrow night), and we're in.
This is probably one of the biggest Warriors games in the past decade-plus.
